Australian Racing Museum and Hall of Fame

Australian Racing Museum and Hall of Fame tells the history of horse racing in Australia, with a particular focus on Flemington Racecourse and the Melbourne Cup, which is held there every November. The museum houses a collection of fine and decorative arts, paintings, trophies, photographs, colours, riding equipment, a horse drawn jockey ambulance and ephemera.

The Australian Racing Museum aims to stimulate awareness, understanding and enjoyment of the nation s thoroughbred racing heritage and conserve, develop, interpret and promote its Collection. The Champions gallery features some of the most beautiful and important horseracing treasures imaginable, as well as some 'gems' that have never been displayed before. Enthusiastic and experienced researchers are available to search the Australian Racing Museum resources and respond to enquiries.
