Luskintyre Aviation Flying Museum

Luskintyre Aviation Flying Museum: the property has five hangars including Ray Windred's hangar which contains many smaller vintage aircraft under construction, including Tiger Moths. Luskintyre Airfield is a 228 acre privately owned airfield near Newcastle in the Hunter Valley, NSW.

Luskintyre Airfield was established in 1977. Each Wednesday volunteers work with whipper snippers and lawn mowers to get the airfield up-to-scratch for Saturday - the weekly "get together" day. The first Saturday of each month is another special day at Luskintyre because the increasingly popular "Lunch with the Tiger Moths" is held. It's a casual affair with hotdogs and a sausage sizzle for lunch. Picnic facilities are available if you wish to bring your own lunch.
