Anglesey Coastal Path, Wales
Coastal trekking culture is quite popular in the United Kingdom.
Anglesay Coastal Path partially encircles Caernarfon Bay an islet of
the Irish Sea. This is a 200Km path which occasionally runs inland. One
such inland route leads to the past sentinel of Prince Williams and
Kate. The topology of the place is varied as it has the luxury of
flaunting a royal blue horizon and a parallel running grassy meadow.
Lycian Way, Turkey
The unique appeal that Turkey possesses is hard to find in any other
nation. Its transcontinental nature, the myths and truths around
Istanbul, the fascinating history of Hagia Sophia and Turkey’s
Ottoman rule have thrilled mankind through ages. However this walk
deviates from the popular touristy routes and gives us a sneak peek of
the Mediterranean Turkey. The trail runs from Fethiye to Antalya and
covers a mighty 540Kms. Enjoy the Roman roads and mule trains with the

Cinque Terre Coastal Walk, Italy
‘Love at first sight’ – this is the phrase that rightly
describes Cinque Terre. It is the land of the five fishing villages
where cars are banned. The five villages are in close proximity to each
other and almost dangling off the cliff. ‘The Azure Trail’
is the most popular of the pathways and it connects all the five
villages. Walk through the amazing maze and bite on a pizza cooked over
wood fire. Let the charm of these five hamlets of Italy grasp all five
of your senses.
Coastal Footpath, Brittany, France
Prepare to get bowled over by Brittany’s versatility in this
trail. The pink Granite Coast, the long sandy beaches, the unnerving
water sports and the regular fishing villages all exist in perfect
harmony. The track is a 360 mile path from Morlaix to
Mont-Saint-Michele. It takes about a month to complete the stretch in
one single trek. If you are running out of time split the trek and
choose your own route.
Berwickshire Coastal Path, England, UK
This walking route, some 45 kilometres long, runs from Berwick upon
Tweed to Cockburnspath in the Scottish Borders. Cockburnspath is also
the termini of the Southern Upland Way and the John Muir Way. The walk
passes one of the most spectacular coastlines in Great Britain, in an
area nationally and internationally important for seabirds, coastal
flora and marine life. It is a waymarked route. It is probably best to
spend three days walking this route leaving plenty of time to enjoy all
the sights along the way.
Pembroke Coastal Walk, Wales, UK
The Pembrokeshire coast is wild, gorgeous and beautifully looked
after. For family activity holidays, it is a nature lab one minute and
an adventure playground the next. It’s heaven for wildlife-watching,
watersports and walking, and lovely for romantic escapes, too. When
you’re ready to chill out after all that fresh air, there are
cosy pubs, spa treatments and fabulous sunsets to enjoy. As far as
possible the route runs close to the cliff edge and coast, but this is
not possible at all times; on occasion the coast is barely in sight
where the path briefly detours round industrial or military areas. It
does not include any of the coast inland of the Cleddau Bridge, missing
about 50 miles of coastline around the estuary.
Amalfi Coast Walk, Italy
Forget the car, put on a pair of walking boots and make your way
along the spectacular footpaths on the Amalfi Coast. Ancient mule
tracks and precipitous cliff edge paths which, until the SS163 was
built, were the only viable routes existing between the towns dotted
along the Amalfi Coast. Walk through sweet smelling lemon orchards and
tiny vegetable patches stolen from the mountainside, under the watchful
gaze of the occasional goat or donkey, past ancient hermitages and
convents to reach panoramas which will, quite literally, take your
breath away. Those who suffer from vertigo are advised to abstain!
Dalmatian Coast, Croatia
Along the golden archipelagos of the Adriatic, the Dalmatian Coast
is a hidden wonder full of medieval cities, seaside olive groves, and
