Birdland Animal Park is a small but well presented wildlife park in Batemans Bay in New South Wales. The park has over fifty species of Australian native animals, birds and reptiles in a lush garden setting on eight acres of waterfront. Australian animals you will see include Koalas, Kangaroos, Common Wombat and Southern Hairy-nosed Wombat. There is a black cockatoo that was given to the Park in 1971 by forestry workers.

Visitors have the opportunity to experience the wildlife up close and many of the animals wander up to be hand fed or patted. You can cuddle a Wombat, have your photo taken alongside a Koala, or handle a snake. Hands on sessions are as follows: Wombats and Snakes at 11.30am and 2.30pm; and Koalas at 10.30am. Birds such as black swans, egrets, herons and pelicans are regular visitors to the walk along the waterfront of the estuary.

The animals are mostly Australian, although there is an orphaned deer that was hand reared at the park and lives amongst the kangaroos. You may see cute orphaned baby marsupials being cared for under Birdland's rear and release program.
